Attribute Sequence Sections allow you to create multi-level product sequences within a collection grid or Smart Widget. By nesting attributes, you can control how products are grouped and displayed across multiple levels. For example, you can group products by **Product Type** first, then create nested sequences based on **Color** within each product type. You can add further levels, such as **Design**, to create more detailed merchandising patterns and control how products appear throughout the grid. This helps you create a structured, floor-like merchandising layout while maintaining control over the order and repetition of product attributes. **How to Set Up an Attribute Sequence Section** Follow these steps from your Tagalys dashboard to configure an attribute-driven sequence: Tops and bottom sets in the same colour cycling through designs. Step 1: Select ‘Attribute Sequence’ - Open the collection you want to merchandise, and navigate to the Sorting tab. - Select Sequence as the sorting method and Click Attribute Sequence Section to add a new section. ![](https://support.tagalys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-10-3857-AM.png?width=670&height=362&name=undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-10-3857-AM.png) Step 2: Configure Attribute for Level 1 The first level defines the primary attribute used to group products in the sequence. - Select the attribute that should drive your top-level grouping (e.g., "Product type"). ![](https://support.tagalys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-15-9626-AM.png?width=670&height=362&name=undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-15-9626-AM.png) - Select the values for this level (e.g., *Tops and Trousers*). You can add further levels to refine the merchandising pattern. Configure the sequence settings and save your changes. ![](https://support.tagalys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-17-8536-AM.png?width=670&height=362&name=undefined-Nov-03-2026-08-13-17-8536-AM.png) Your sequence will now contain three levels: - **Level 1:** Product Type - **Level 2:** Color - **Level 3:** Design This structure allows you to control product grouping and repetition across multiple attribute levels. **Configure Sequence Continuity.** Each nested level includes a Sequence continuity setting alongside the Products per sequence configuration. NOTE: - You can create up to 5 sections per collection or Smart Widget. - You can configure a maximum of 50 custom sequences across all sections combined - This feature is not allowed on all dashboards at the moment.
