Set up default conditions for pinned products across Categories | Collections. Pinned products that don't match these conditions will automatically be unpinned in the storefront.
Using this feature, the pinned products can be set up to remain pinned in the storefront whenever the default conditions are satisfied.
Follow the steps mentioned below to set up 'Default Pin Conditions':
- From the collections drop-down, navigate to 'Settings':
- To create 'Default Pin Conditions', click on the edit icon:
- Similar to setting up your merchandising preferences elsewhere on the dashboard, users can use the same options to set up the default pin conditions.
- In the above example, the condition is set up so that only products which are full-priced will remain pinned. Users can also view how many products do not satisfy these conditions as highlighted in the screenshot above.
- Once the required conditions have been set up, click the 'Save' icon at the top right.
- Upon clicking on the 'Save' icon, the message as seen in the screenshot below is displayed before the changes are saved to inform users that the conditions will be applied to all Collections | Categories where default pin conditions are enabled. Click on 'Save' again to save the changes

- Users can automatically apply the 'Default Pin Conditions' to new collections (this applies to both new Smart Collections and Shopify collections that are created thereafter). To control this setting, turn the 'Enable default conditions in new collections' toggle ON or OFF based on your preferences.
If users would like to disable 'Default pin conditions' and set up local pin conditions for a Collection | Category, follow the steps mentioned below: (Please note that this is applicable only for Collections | Categories which already have products pinned)
- Navigate to the 'Curate' panel towards the top right on a merchandising edit page of a collection
- Click on the 'Apply Pin Conditions' icon.
- To create Collection | Category specific pin conditions, turn the 'Default conditions' toggle OFF and set up the required local conditions:
- Click the 'Done' icon at the top right to save the local pin conditions.
If users would like to enable 'Default pin conditions' for multiple Collections | Categories at the same time. In the 'View All' collections page, you can select multiple Collections | Categories using the 'Select All' option.
Once the required Collections | Categories have been selected, click on the button that displays the number of selected collections. From the drop-down options, navigate to 'default pin conditions' and click 'Enable'.
Note: Collections which have a live A/B test ongoing will be ignored from the selection (Only for Shopify).
