What are markets and segments in Tagalys?

Create merchandising strategies for your collection pages, which can be customised for specific markets and segments

Users can create merchandising strategies for collection pages, which can be customised for specific markets and segments.

Market-specific merchandising: Tagalys can sync markets defined on your Shopify store to the dashboard. User can choose to sync their preferred list of markets. Once a market is synced, it will:

  • Automatically receive localised product information specific to the respective market, like inventory details, prices, product availability and more.
  • Synced markets will populate their own trending score optimised based on local performance.
  • Analytics can also be tracked separately at a market level, giving you insights into performance across different regions.

This means customers in different markets will see products that are most relevant to their location, with pricing, availability, and recommendations optimised for their corresponding market.

Note: These market-specific customisations will only be applied to an exclusive list of preferred markets that merchants select.

What is customer segmentation?
Customer segmentation divides your online visitors into groups based on shared characteristics, allowing you to create targeted merchandising experiences.

Merchandise by customer segments: Similar to markets, customer segments allow you to customise your collection pages' merchandising to deliver targeted experiences.

Some examples of  customer segments are:

  • New or returning customers
  • Organic visitors or visitors through social media

By default, all markets and segments synced to Tagalys inherit your store's default merchandising configuration. However, you have the option to customise them based on your specific needs.
