What is a 'revert' version and how do I set it up?

Merchants can set up a version for a Collection | Category page to revert to once a scheduled version ends.


Assume you have 2 sale campaigns coming up in the next few weeks, in order to be prepared in advance you schedule one version for each sale campaign.

The first campaign is scheduled from August 16th to August 23rd and the second campaign starts from Sept 1st to Sept 8th. Between the time the first campaign ends and the second one begins, merchants can set a revert version that the collection | category page will revert to.

Please note that a revert version will be created as a copy of the original. Any changes made to the original will not affect the revert version and vice versa. 

To set up a revert version, follow the steps mentioned below:
  • While setting the start date and end date of a scheduled version, you can select a revert version from the drop-down highlighted below. 
  • Merchants also have the option to select an existing draft as the revert version
  • Once a revert version is set up, you can view the version by clicking on the prompt highlighted below. The revert version will become active as soon as a scheduled version ends.
