Similar Products widget displays product recommendations based on similarities in attributes and tags associated with the source product.
Here are the steps to create Similar Products Recommendations using product-based widgets in Tagalys.- Click on 'Product-Based Widgets' in the 'Recommendations' section on the menu.
- Click on the '+New' button.
- Name the widget and click on '+ Automation rules'.
- Within 'Setup source products', select conditions such that all the products in the catalogue are included as the 'Source products'. Example: Price greater than or equal to 1.
- Click on Step 2, and click on '+ Sequence'.
- In the 'Products in sequence' section, select conditions such that the recommendations are similar to the source product type/category/color, etc, depending on your use case. Example: Product type - Matches source, and on 'Generate preview' to view the recommended products and click on 'add', and save the widget.
- You could also turn off automated rules for particular products and fully handpick recommendations for them. Click on the 'Automated' tab and click on the preview of the product for which you would like to handpick recommendations.
- Pin the products you would like to recommend for the source product and turn the 'Automated Recommendations' toggle off to display only handpicked recommendations, and click on Save.
- You could also opt for a hybrid mode wherein you can pin some recommendations and also retain the automated rules. Keep the 'Automated Recommendations' toggle on for the hybrid mode.
