The Reserve Bank of India issued a directive on October 1, 2021, that affects processing payment against credit cards issued by Indian banks.
Due to this change, payments processed from credit cards issued by an Indian bank get declined when the payment is made to a non-Indian entity. When your credit card is declined, a payment failure notification is sent via email.
Here are the steps to follow to complete the payment when you receive a payment failure notice.
- An email is sent with the 'Pay now' option
- Once you click on the 'Pay Now' button, you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Click on 'Pay Now'.
- Your card details are saved here. You could update them before paying if required and complete the payment.
