How can I merchandise by 'Size' using Sequencing, GSO, Global Boost (T-score), or 'Local Boost'?

In this scenario, let's assume Shirts that are Small (S) and Medium (M) in size contribute to 80% of your monthly revenue, and Extra-large shirts (XL) contribute to only 5% of your total monthly revenue. Using Tagalys merchandising, you could give 'Shirts' in size Medium (M) & (S) more visibility and preference across Categories, Collections & Search results.

Tagalys enables you to merchandise by 'Size' in several automated, smart, and efficient ways.

Using 'Sequencing': A merchant would use this option to always ensure the products with the desired sizes (S & M) are visible in a single Category or Collection. Using a Sequence, merchants can ensure the products that are 'Shirts' must always contain 'ANY', 'ALL' or 'EXCEPT' the desired sizes. The below screenshot shows a sequence, where 'Shirts' are displayed in a sequence if they contain either (ANY) size, S or M.

Using a 'GSO': A merchant would use this option to always ensure the products with the desired sizes (S & M) are visible across multiple Categories or Collections. Using a 'Sequence' in the GSO, merchants can ensure the products that are 'Shirts' must always contain 'ANY', 'ALL' or 'EXCEPT' the desired sizes. The below screenshot shows a GSO sequence, where 'Shirts' are displayed in a sequence if they contain either (ANY) size, S or M. When this is applied to Categories or collections, it will ensure the first set of products always contain either the 'S' or 'M' size at all times, across all the applied categories or collections.

Using a 'Global Boost (T-score)': A merchant would use a 'Global Boost' to give more visibility to products with the desired sizes and increase the T-score's value. While this increases visibility, where the Sort order is 'Trending' it does not guarantee that these products will always be at the desired position on the Category, Collection, or search results page.

As in the above methods, you can choose the condition to 'Match Any' so that an incremental T-score boost is applied to all 'Shirts' that contain either of the sizes 'S' or 'M'.

Using a 'Local Boost': A merchant would use a 'Local Boost' to give more visibility to products with the desired sizes within the Category or Collection. Unlike the 'Global Boost,' the 'Local Boost' works at the Category or Collection level to promote the products chosen as per the desired conditions and attributes. For the 'Local Boost' to take effect, the Sort Order for the Category, Collection, or individual Sequence should be set to 'Trending.' The products will continue to be promoted as long as the 'Local Boost' is active.

The image below shows you can increase visibility to products that contain the 'S' or 'M' size within that Category or Collection.
