‘Trending Score’ is a product sorting score based on visitor analytics. It is based on four components - Tag Score, Product Score, Boost Score, and Date Score. This is the default sort order that helps you maximize store CTR.
Tag Score is an algorithm-generated score given for a product, based on user interaction data on the tags associated with each product. Ex: Red, Blue, and Black are Colour tags of a product.
Product Score is an algorithm-generated score given for a product based on user interaction data of a particular product. It includes elements like views, add to carts, buys, conversion metrics, etc.
Boost Score is a merchant-defined score that can be applied to a product or a set of products based on your business insights. You can apply a negative or positive Boost Score to give a product lower or higher visibility on the product catalog.
Date Score is an algorithm-generated score given for a product based on the product’s launch date relative to the current date.
Ex: A product launched one day ago might have a Date Score of 90 points and a product launched fifty days ago might have 2 points.
